Well finals week is most certainly not the most wonderful time of the year, however there is still much to be grateful and happy for.
Today is Thursday. I had an interesting beginning to my day in my first class; public speaking. Today we had to give a speech however, we all came into class unaware of our topics.
You got it, no preparation. Improv speech day.
We all had to draw a subject from a basket and when we were called up we were to give a speech on our topic. Of course you had to have a catchy introduction, followed by two to three main points with examples, a review of the points, and a well rounded conclusion.
On the spot.
Yikes.
So my topic that I drew was "An Object."
It was a pretty broad subject; I could talk about any object I wanted to. I thought of things that I use on a regular basis and how I start with a catchy beginning.
I ended up talking about my camera; how it has helped me develop my talents and how much photography is apart of my life.
After class, I spent an hour or two in the library working on my business communications paper. I went to my Doctrine and Covenants class followed by my mission prep class.
We had a really amazing lesson in my mission prep class about the priesthood line and the importance of having the right authority. I learned so much today; I do not wish to get too personal here on my blog, but let me just say that it was incredible for me.
After class I went back up to the computer lab to work on my paper. I worked on it for a couple of hours actually; I was determined not to leave until I was done. I finished it, except for a few changes in the margin settings which I didn't know how to do, but my friend said he would edit it for me and fix it.
I'm glad I have great fiends who are willing to help me out with my homework. I came home a bit later than usual and worked on my homework with my boyfriend and a few friends.
I am so glad I have that paper done! It is such a huge part of my grade and my teacher is rather particular about the way that it is done...wish me luck.
I'll be glad when finals and such are done...
Ah gotta love this; the most wonderful time of the year...
