Weekends

Wow, what an incredible weekend I have had! I don't wish to get too personal here on my blog, but let me just say that it has been an incredible experience for me. I feel like I have grown so much over the past few weeks especially and I am excited for new things to come. New friends, new leadership opportunities, and more new experiences!
Today I went to my regular church meeting in addition to being there early for meetings and staying late for meetings.
Ah meetings. I love them, I really do. I love planning, organizing, and participating in a team and being a leader. I love sharing ideas and doing everything I can to meet the needs of others.
When I was done with my meetings after church, I didn't have time to go home and eat before our stake fireside, so I caught a University train and headed towards the University of Utah with some friends from the ward.
Elder Andersen spoke to our stake, and it was incredible! He is a really great speaker; he was funny, spiritual, and personable.
Fact about me: I love people! Our stake is so huge! There were so many people at this stake conference; perhaps maybe too many people. It was wicked crowded, but fun to meet new people and see good friends again from the stake and from our ward. :)
I came home spiritually fed, but my stomach was about to kill me for not eating since breakfast.
I ate and chatted with one of my roommates, who has become one of my best friends. It was really nice to just sit in the peace of our kitchen together and just talk for a while. It's good to take time to have meaningful conversations. I'm grateful for her.
I'm grateful for so many things; my heart is just so full. I just can't wait to start serving and have new experiences!

  1. You are going to do great things!
    Remember (Alma37:6-7):
6 Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.
7 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.
