Fact about me: You can never go wrong with chocolate.
I know this is a repeat, but only because it is very important.
I love getting everything done, don't you? Except I don't love the lack of sleep part... Oh well.
Today I got ready for the day, and me and my new pink shirt walked out the door on time and ready for class.
I needed a bright color today.
Today in my public speaking class, we watched and analyzed Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I Have A Dream' speech. So well done; just incredibly well worded and well presented.
In my break between classes, I said hello to my new buddies at the library (once you start going to the library often, you tend to run into the same people all the time) and started studying and working on my homework.
I attended my Doctrine and Covenants class next. What a great class today; we studied from sections 7 and 13, which are both very short sections. We discussed the blessings of the priesthood being restored on the earth today and how it will never again be taken from the earth. What a great promise! Section 7 was really interesting to me; we talked about John the beloved and Peter in the New Testament, as well as the three Nephites in the Book of Mormon; we compared their desires to build the kingdom and do a greater work. We discussed ways about what more we could do to build the Lord's kingdom and do a greater work.
Today was burger day at the cafe. My roommate and I couldn't resist. After class, we went and got lunch at the cafe, and chatted about our plans for the weekend.
Mission prep was my last class for the day; we talked about the importance of gaining a testimony for ourselves. We read from Joesph Smith history about the first vision, and discussed the importance of obeying and following the prophets. Doctrine and Covenants 1:37-38. When we have the desire to want to know if something is true, we take action; we do as the prophet has counseled, because we have faith that he speaks from the Lord, and our faith becomes knowledge and testimony.
When class was over, I headed to the computer lab to help a friend with his English assignment. I love helping other people; I love applying our school's learning model of 'teaching one another' as I seek out ways to help others with their assignments.
I know I'm going to need as much help as I can get with math...
I went home and fell asleep for... umm longer than I wanted to be.
I got up and got ready for my meeting.
I decided to make a chocolate cake for the girls coming over for this meeting.
Who doesn't love chocolate cake fresh out of the oven?
That's what I thought.
So let me just brag a little here, it is the most perfect creation of perfectly blended ingredients, moist texture, creamy frosting, and to-die-for delicious chocolate flavored cake ever made.
I love baking.
It was delicious.
And I'm done bragging now.
After my meeting was over, it was now time to work on homework... again...
Just keeps starting over, doesn't it?
It was definitely a chocolate cake kinda day.
