Stake Conference

Okay I didn't write yesterday again, so this is going to be another two-in-one post. I had a fantastic weekend, as always.
Saturday I had Stake Conference at 9am.
Fact about me: My biggest pet peeve in the whole world is being late.
So I set my alarm Friday night for 6am so that I would be up in time to walk out the door at 7:45am with my RS presidency. We were supposed to get their early to set up a few tables and center pieces.
I guess I must have been so tired that when my alarm went off that morning that I turned it off and then I turned it back on; thinking that it would go off at the right time, because it wasn't time to get up yet.
I NEVER do that. Ever.
Ever.
I never hit the snooze button, ever.
I am always a very disciplined person when it comes to getting up in the morning.
So you would imagine my surprise when my phone rang at 7:40am and I was not out of bed yet.
I was so mad at myself.
Well, I got myself ready as quickly as I could and walked out the door (more like ran out the door) and I was there about twenty minutes late.
Well, you do the best you can and that is the best you can do.
Stake Conference was amazing, we had some really excellent speakers. Afterwards, we had a pancake breakfast with our stake. It was really fun.
After Stake Conference, I ran home, changed my clothes, and was out the door again in ten minutes. I took the trax over to the Stake center to help my ward clean it. I love cleaning.
I came home and relaxed a bit. I have been so busy lately, and especially that morning I had been a little overwhelmed because I was late. I wrote a few letters; writing relaxes me. And I talked to my parents on the phone.
Later that evening, a good friend of mine and I met up with my sister and her husband on Temple Square. We went to an orchestra concert in the tabernacle.
It was amazing! I miss the orchestra, I have a special place in my heart for the string instruments. They were beautiful.
Funny story: The first piece they played was actually very humorous to both my sister and I because it was a piece played in a cartoon that we used to watch growing up. We couldn't help but remember the hilarious words to that song in the cartoon as they played. We tried our hardest not to be noisy, but it certainly made my day. My friend probably thought that I was nuts. :)
After the concert, my friend and I met up with some others from our ward. We went back to their place and had hot chocolate and talked. I had a blast.
Today, I actually got up to my alarm :)
One of my friends from the stake came and picked me up for Stake Conference. We sat with some of my friends from the ward. It was a broadcast for 71 different stakes! Again, there were some really excellent speakers.
I came home and my roommates and I put on a movie.
Definitely fell asleep.
I got up and went with my presidency over to a girls apartment in our ward who is getting surgery done tomorrow. We visited with her for a while, we love her.
When I came home, one of my friends came over and we made dinner with my roommates. After we ate, we watched a movie and hung out. It was fun.
So I had another really great weekend. This upcoming week is going to be busy, busy. I'm excited for life!
