I So Called It

So remember that prediction I made yesterday about waking up to snow?
Ya.
I opened my blinds this morning in the kitchen like I do every morning.
I cringed at the sight.
A soft, light, blanket of snow drifting down gently on the rapidly disappearing, green grass below.
And then I closed my blinds in disbelief.
What did I tell you? I so called it.
It's October! Why is it snowing? I'm not ready to say goodbye to my short sleeved shirts!
So I got ready for school this morning, I had cream of wheat for breakfast, (hope you're proud of me mom) and I was out the door wearing a sweater.
My roommates and I all walked out the door together, shivering the whole car ride to school.
I went to my math class first thing this morning. Nothing like snow and math all in one day. You know your going to have a good day if...
Afterwards I had a break between classes. I met up with a good friend of mine in the library and we signed up for a class together for next semester and then just chatted. I had a blast with her; we were probably a little too noisy for the library. :)
Business Communications was next; we peer edited our resumes and cover letters. I was pretty proud of myself, but I am just not a short and to the point kinda writer.
Obviously.
I like to write detailed and lengthy sentences full of fun adjectives and interesting uses of word choice. I just like to write.
However, this is not a creative writing class. You have to cut out all the fluff.
I'm working on it.
I need to be better about my sociology class. I usually end up doing all my reading for that class the day of so I end up spending my entire day in the library reading for that class, and then discussing it with my class for the next three hours. And then I'm so sick of it, that I put it of again until the next week.
Such is this homework cycle.
I met up with another friend and we read the chapters together and worked on the study questions. I went to my night class and I really enjoyed the presentations given today.
Well, I guess I was pretty entertaining in class today. I am so tired; night classes will be the death of me. I love this class, don't get me wrong, but a three hour class just kills me.
I was struggling really hard to stay awake in class today and I guess everyone around me found it pretty entertaining.
I was kinda embarrassed, not going to lie; I couldn't help it.
During our break in the middle of class, my friend from class got me starbursts again; "To help you stay awake."
Me: "Oh gosh, you sit half way across the room from me, and you saw that?"
Well my roommate was feeling sick today, so she did not go to her regular night class this evening. I usually ride home with her, but today I took trax.
Still cold outside.
I talked on the phone with my parents on my way home; good to chat with them.
I came home and worked on homework and made brownies. :)
Later my friend came over and we just talked for a long time. So fun; I really enjoy listening to him and getting to know him better. :)
Well, I still have a bit of reading left to do and then *hopefully* I should be off to bed a little earlier tonight.
Great day. I am happy. :)
