Roses

Fact about me: Roses are my favorite flower.
Wow I didn't write again yesterday, but it was probably for the best because I went to bed so late and whatever I would have written wouldn't have made any since.
So lets start with Friday. I slept in a little and got myself ready for the day. I went with my roommate to one of her classes. It was a business fundamentals class, and one of the groups was giving a presentation that she thought I would find amusing. It was a good presentation on customer service and I was glad I went. Afterwards, I went to my business communications class. I turned in my assignment, had a pop quiz (thank goodness it was open book) and was out the door.
My Friday can really start once my classes are over!
I came home and did some laundry and showered. Some of my roommates invited me and one of my friends to go to an institute dance with them. So eight of us got together at a friend's house and ate dinner together and toasted marshmallows. Then we all piled back into the car and drove down to the Gateway where the dance was.
Lets just say that I've been to better dances. It was super fun to hang out with my friends and the Halloween costumes worn by the other people there were certainly entertaining and creative. I had a blast.
We stayed for a little bit and then headed to the Business College for the Halloween party over there. It was super fun as well; there was a small haunted house and dancing and mostly just socializing.
My friend and I went back to his house and watched a movie with his roommates and a few others. We watched-yet agian-another scary movie. Only, it wasn't that scary. There were a few intense parts but overall it was just an interesting movie.
Scary movies aren't really my thing.
A couple of friends drove me home and there was a party going on at my place. So we stayed up longer ha and watched the last few minutes of the movie they were watching. After everyone left, one of our friends wanted to stay the night.
She and I talked for an hour or so, becuase she had some things she needed to talk to me about.
I ended up going to bed around 4am...
(Don't tell my mother) :)
Overall, a very fun day! Way too much fun and not enough sleep for sure.
I got up this morning at 7am and walked out the door at 8:30am to clean the stake center again with my ward. This week is our last week! :)
After cleaning the stake center, I walked around and took some pictures on my way home and talked to my parents on the phone. When I came home I went right back to bed.
No questions asked.
When I got up, my roommate came home from Provo for a bit to set up her keyboard! I am really excited that she has one; she is going to start taking piano lessons. I'm so jealous.
Fact about me: I took piano for a while growing up from both my mother and a hand full of theachers. I can play a few hymns but thats about it. I can read music really well and I really enjoy good music.
I showered and got myself ready for my date this evening. I met up with my friend at his house. He cooked dinner for me and it was very delicious. Afterwards, we wrote letters to a young man in our ward who just went out on his mission. When we were done, we popped in a movie. One of my favorite movies actually, we watched 'What about Bob?' We talked for a while and then he walked me home.
It's been raining most of the day today, so it was really nice outside on our walk back to my place. I love rain. It was cool, but not too cold; and the air was fresh and chilly. We stepped over puddles in the sidewalk and talked the whole way back. I had so much fun.
When I came home, my roommates had a few friends over.
And they all wanted to know about my date. :)
I guess that's what happens when you walk through the door with roses.
