I love being busy; I feel like my schedule is increasingly becoming more and more filled as my days go on.
Today I got to school early and did some homework in the library. I think I did indeed spend a large amount of my time in the library today; reading and catching up on some school work.
I went to my first class at 11:00am. Our math teacher began class by showing us a video on YouTube of a couple from Sweden doing a swing dance in a competition some where.
Me: "What does this have to do with math again?"
Totally random.
I feel like my teacher often gets off topic easily, and the students in our class don't help much. Math class today kinda felt like a waste of my time; I really wanted to leave because we weren't even talking about math till we were 45 minutes into class.
I endured.
I went back to the library to continue working on homework till 1:30pm when I went to my English class.
After class, yep you guessed it, I was back to work in the library. Sorry, my day was really boring.
I was mostly catching up on some reading assignments. We are reading the book 'Bonds That Make Us Free' in my sociology of marriage and family class; and let me just say this: it's so good. I am only on chapter seven, but it is definitely one of my favorite books ever. I highly recommend it.
I had my sociology class today from 4:00pm-7:00pm. I love that class, it's definitely my favorite class this semester. I love the reading assignments and material, my teacher is phenomenal, and the students in my class are well rounded and make good comments in class; we always have great discussions. I have super fun friends in that class, and I am making new friends already.
Wish my math class was more like this one.
The only downside of this class is that it's three hours long. Sooooo long. But we usually get on some really great topics of discussion as we talk about what we read, learned, and have tried to apply into our lives over the week.
We had a break in the middle of our class today like we usually do. My roommate came with me to my class today because I thought she would really enjoy it. Usually during the break I stay in the class room and continue talking with my group, but today my roommate wanted to run down stairs to the book store to get something to eat.
I guess thats another downside to this class; it's right in the evening time when we usually would be having dinner...
Fact about me: I really don't like eating in front of other people! (I think I have already said that before, but I'm just saying it again.)
Well, while we were there, my roommate and I were in line and she was going to get something and I wasn't.
Obviously.
But one of my friends from class offered to grab me something. I politely declined, but he insisted on getting me something.
My roommate didn't help much. "She likes starbursts!" She chimed in.
So I ended up going back to class with a pack of starbursts. It was super nice of him.
After class, my roommate and I headed out with another friend to the Gateway where we got food, and just walked around and had a blast window shopping. It was kinda relaxing to get some fresh air and have a little fun tonight.
Plus I got a new shirt. :)
Anyways, we came back home and started on homework again.
Ah, homework never seems to end, does it?
My roommates and I planned out our week. We planned a trip to the Provo canyon on Friday and invited a few friends. I am SO excited to be able to take pictures up in the canyon!
Now, it's time to get back to work...
and you still have some of them starbursts leftover :)
