Way Too Much Fun

Weather forecast for today: freezing cold, snow, and more freezing cold.
As my friend Phil would say, (Yea, like the groundhog Phil): "You want a prediction about the weather, you're asking the wrong Phil. I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life."
(Groundhogs day)
Today was such a long day, but such a good day! My alarm went off this morning bright and early and I was out the door and on the 8:35am trax. I chatted with mom on the way to school; I enjoy talking to my parents on a regular basis.
Public Speaking was my first class for the day at 9:20am. We listened to a speech given shortly after 9/11 by President George Bush; it was one of the best speeches I have ever heard. It was so well presented, written, and spoken. Afterwards we split into our groups and discussed our group service project. We-as a group-have to to pick and do a service project (we were thinking maybe the bishop's store house or something) and then write and present a speech in class.
This should be good; I love going to the bishop's store house to volunteer.
I had a break before my next class where I studied my scriptures for the day. Wow, I was caught up on my homework for the day, I didn't hardly spend any time in the library for once! :)
I went to my Doctrine and Covenant's class with my roommate. My roommate's parents are in town, so I met her mom today. It was super nice to meet her!
My roommate was also nice enough to volunteer me to play the piano today :) that was fun...
In class we discussed sections 27 and 28. We read about putting on the full armor of God; I love those last versus in section 27:
"Wherefore,
lift up your hearts and rejoice, and gird up your loins, and take upon you my whole armor, that ye may be able to withstand the evil day, having done all, that ye may be able to stand.
Stand, therefore, having your loins
girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, which I have sent mine angels to commit unto you;
Taking the shield of faith wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked;
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of my
Spirit, which I will pour out upon you, and my word which I reveal unto you, and be agreed as touching all things whatsoever ye ask of me, and be faithful until I come, and ye shall be caught up, that where I am ye shall be also. Amen."
I had another break before my next class so I worked on a few things in the library and chatted with my roommate.
Mission prep was my last class for the day. We talked about how to handle objections. I really thought it was a most interesting lesson; he talked about the difference between an investigator who has questions: lacks understanding and knowledge/information, and an investigator who has an objection: lacks belief, has pride, and needs a spiritual witness.
It's kind of difficult for me to explain, but what I thought was good to remember was you can't push anyone and you can't argue with them. I know that sounds basic, but once the Spirit isn't there any more, you can't teach effectively. You need to find those who are ready to receive the gospel; those who are ready to believe and understand, and not for those who want to find contention.
I came home, ate, changed my clothes, and was out the door again for a stake Relief Society meeting. Such a good training meeting; we discussed how visiting teaching works and how the MLS program works on the computer. I love our stake Relief Society presidency, they are truly amazing.
After my meeting was over, a friend invited me over to watch a movie.
I went home and changed again and was out the door once more. (Wow, I feel like I have been out more than at home today!)
Fact about me: I am not a fan of scary movies.
So we watched a scary movie...
Actually it wasn't that bad. There were a few intense moments, but overall the plot line was decent and interesting. Good movie.
Good company too, I just have way too much fun :)
Afterwards, we sat around a chatted and then they took me home.
I am so tired! I just have way too much to do plus I have way too much fun. :) So worth it though, I love my life! I just love being happy all the time!
