I love early Sunday mornings. When I got up this morning, there were a couple of inches of snow on the ground.
Awesome.
I rolled out of my warm bed and got ready for the day, and was out the door-wearing heals in the snow.
Luckily I didn't slip in the snow, and luckily I walked out the door early because I had to walk extra slow in order to not slip. :)
I had a few meetings before church started, of which I was able to finalize all of our visiting teaching-finally.
I attended a great ward council-I sure love my ward. I love each of the members in my ward; they all work hard and truly want to serve. I love serving with them and enjoy the Spirit they each bring into my life, especially our bishopric and the members of the ward council.
A member from the high council came with his wife to our ward to speak today; I sure love hearing from our leaders on the stake level, they bring a special Spirit.
I'm glad I got a lot done today, especially with our visiting teaching! The women in our ward are so anxious to serve, and I am happy that they all have that desire to be unified and lift one another. It makes me happy, to see them happy.
I talked on the phone with my family for a bit, and that was nice.
Later tonight, I went back to the school for a ward fireside. We could ask the bishopric and their wives any question that we wanted and they would do their best to answer our questions. They gave some really excellent advice and council as well as some great stories.
Later, my friend came over and we watched a talk given by Bruce R. McKonkie. I was absolutely blown away; I definitely want to go back and read it. I love the wonderful words to the hymn he wrote: "I believe in Christ"
"I believe in Christ-my Lord, my God! My feet he plants on gospel sod. I'll worship him with all my might; He is the source o truth and light. I believe in Christ; he ransoms me. From Satan's grasp he sets me free, And I shall live with joy and love In his eternal courts above."
(3rd verse)
What a great day :)
