Math = Not Today

So today I did something that I have never done before.
Ever.
Fact about me: In all of my middle school, high school, and college days, I have never once been tardy for any of my classes. Ever. Or ever skipped a single class. Never skipped.
The only reason why I would not be in class would be if I got sick (which usually doesn't happen to me very often)
*knock on wood*
Last night I stayed up a little too late, and when I was talking to my roommate, I said; "Hey I'm thinking about skipping my math class tomorrow morning because I'm just way too tired."
Her response; "No you wont. You say that, but I know you wont actually follow through."
She knows me too well.
That's why it was such a shock when I didn't get up this morning until 10am instead of my usual 7am.
My math class is a pass/fail class; basically its based on attendance. If I miss one class, I'm not going to fail. In fact, I think the only way to fail this class is if one were to never come. I felt like I needed sleep more than math today. I wanted to focus my energy on classes that I needed and actually stay awake for them; especially today, because Wednesdays are my long days.
Don't judge me.
So I slept in this morning and got my self ready for the day. My roommates had already walked out the door. I got to the school around noon and went to the library to work on some homework. I worked on an essay for my sociology class; piece of cake, took me like 30 minutes to do.
I sure do love writing :)
I went to my business communications class. We finished up the informal presentations today and then we discussed how to write a progress report. We had to pick a topic for today, and then have the paper done by Friday. Now that I have had it explained to me today, I don't think it will be that hard. Should be another easy paper :)
Then I had a break between my classes. I went to the library again and studied some more. I read my scriptures and then I read 'The Family; A Proclamation to the World" in preparation for my sociology class.
I went to my class, and I felt so much better; eight hours of sleep really helps :) I felt better all day today actually, sleep is good for you :)
What a concept.
We had a great discussion today; we always do. I just love that class! I highly recommend it.
Half way through our class, our teacher usually gives us a fifteen minute break. A few friends and I were starving and decided to run to subway. We ran all the way to subway (just across the street), got sandwiches, and ran all the way back just in the nick of time. Gosh, I am not a runner, I need to exercise more haha.
I wish I had my bike. If I had my bike, I would totally ride it more often here; except in the winter that is :)
After class, a bunch of my friends and I from the ward got together and we went to the Gateway mall to visit a friend who works at a cookie place. We all got cookies and socialized there for a while; I'm glad we could visit her, I just love her :)
Then I came back home with my roommate and a friend and we watched a movie.
Such a great day! :) I'm really grateful that I had a lot of energy today; I feel like I need more sleep. I'm also really grateful for my good friends that I am constantly surrounded with. I feel so uplifted with them; they really bring me unto Christ. They are fun and uplifting to be with, in addition to people who are solid and have good character.
Well I better sign off before it gets too late, no more skipping class for me! :)
