Long Time, No See

I have had such a busy weekend! Let me begin with Friday.
On Friday, I slept in :) and got myself ready for the day. My older sister came over to my apartment and we made lunch together. It was so nice to see her; I miss her! We use to eat lunch together once a week all last year, but now that she doesn't work so close, I do not see her as often.
I've really come to realize what a great blessing my family is. They are always there for me, always. When all else fails: when I am stressed and overwhelmed, when I need advice or a listener, when I need a burden lifted, when I need a friend-a true friend, I know that I can always turn to any member of my family and know that they know me the best and that they love me. They love me. They will always love me and be there for me, as will my Heavenly Father. He is always there for me, even in my darkest of times. I know in whom I have trusted.
I have a testimony that Heavenly Father has created families for a purpose; the family is essential to God's plan of happiness. We need that love and unity that you can only feel, give, and receive from a family unit. I love my family, and I am grateful for them.
My sister and I ate lunch together and then she drove me to my school. I only had one class; business communications. When I was done with class, I stayed at the school for a while and figured some things out for my schedule for next semester.
I signed up for classes and emailed someone at the school about the possibility of a job on campus for next semester. I attached my resume and school schedule and hope all goes well. Wish me luck! I'm pretty excited about my classes next semester, they are certainly going to keep my busy.
I came home and worked on some homework and things and then got myself ready for my date.
Well, a date with my bishopric that is.
Our bishop invited the ward council over to his home Friday night for a 'Date the Bishopric' night. We went over to his home and ate, and then had our ward council meeting. It was really productive and extremely motivating for me. I'm glad I attended. It was also really fun :)
I came home with my roommates and we had a few friends from the ward come over and we watched a movie. I had a great night!
I got up early Saturday morning for a world wide leadership meeting/broadcast. It was certainly very, very good. I certainly felt the Spirit there and I learned a lot. I'm grateful that I was able to attend that meeting.
I came home and went back to bed to be honest. I was super tired; I had gone to bed way too late and then I had to get up early for this meeting. :)
I got up and got myself ready for the school's formal dance. My roommate did my hair and I had a cute dress. My date came to pick me up and my roommate took pictures and made sure that my date would bring me home by a decent hour. "Yes mom!" :)
He took me out to eat and then we headed over to the dance. It was super fun; we saw a lot of our friends there and had a really great time.
He took me home after the dance and we stayed up and watched a movie together. I had a really great time.
On Sunday morning I got up early-yet again- and I had a 9am meeting, 10am meeting, 11am meeting, and then a 12:30pm meeting. Then I had my regular church meetings at 1pm.
I'm actually really grateful; I felt the Spirit all morning and I felt like we were very productive in all of the meetings.
I came home, ate, changed my clothes, and walked out the door again to work on a project for a class with a friend. We discussed what was left to do and then I walked home in the rain.
I sure love rain :)
I came home and talked on the phone with my dad. I love talking on the phone with my dad; he really knows me well and I feel like he understands me. I feel better when I talk to him.
I went to bed early Sunday night and got up early this morning. I love getting a good night's rest; I feel so much better at school.
I got up early this morning and got ready for school. I helped a friend in the computer lab with an essay and then I was able to work on a few emails and homework assignments. I went to my first class for the day; math. and afterwards I went to the library to continued working on homework and writing some emails.
Business communications was my next class. We discussed our topics for our informative reports coming up and we discussed how to better paraphrase quotes from our resources.
After class, my roommate and I went out to lunch together and then came home. We made our own grocery lists and were back on the road. It's always good to eat and make a list before you go grocery shopping. :)
After we grabbed a few needed items, we came back home and sorted through our things and then began to work on homework.
A few of our friends came over as well and we all worked on homework and chatted. I love having my friends over; it's a good feeling to know that you have good friends. :)
It's also a good feeling to know that your homework is done... :)
I've been feeling kind of sick today.. I hope I don't get really sick. I've just had a scratchy throat and I've been feeling kinda achy.. We'll see how things go.
I have a lot going on this week; I'm going to be pretty busy, especially with my calling. I'm looking forward to it though; I enjoy being busy. I love being productive.
Until tomorrow, adieu.
